Description
Japanese, 19th century. Two unmatched figural ukiyo-e woodblock prints. One, possibly by Kikugawa Eizan (Japanese 1787-1867) depicting a female geisha in blue, greys and black walking in a garden with large white peonies, with numerous marks including kiwame seal. The other with two figures in an exterior with white flower blossoms falling from over depicting a young beauty with floral decorated robes and a man with sword at side crouched beside her. Each contained in ebonzied faux bamboo glazed frames. Framed 21" x 16". Image size approximately 14.2" x 9.5". Note: Prints have not been examined out of their frames. Provenance: From a private collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
