Description
Norman Cherner (American, 1920-1987) for Plycraft (American, founded 1953), 1950-1960. Pair of bentwood walnut and walnut veneer "Pretzel" arm chairs, each having a curved back, continuous swooping arm, and rising on tapering splayed legs, manufacturer's plaque to the undersides of each.

Provenance: Private Collection of Jane Jackson, Atlanta, GA.

Approximate dimensions: h. 31.5", w. 25", d. 21.75"; seat h. 17.25".
Condition
Refinished; finish / veneer imperfections / checks; some surface dents typical of domestic use; loss of finish with some loss of wood to front edge of one seat; some small scattered paint splatters; frames are structurally sound.
