Henry Koerner (American / Austrian, 1915-1991). "Barber Plays The Violin" - circa 1950, ink on paper, signed "Koerner" to LR, gallery label for Midtown Galleries, New York, NY. Framed.

Note: "The Barber Shop" (1948), housed in the Whitney Museum of American Art collection, features a composition, background, and subject matter closely related to this work. It is possible that this piece served as a study for the aforementioned painting.

Provenance: From a New York City estate.

Examined out of frame, laid to mat board, faint handling and scattered tiny dots of foxing -- not distracting.
