Provenance: The Estate of Louis & Helen Regenstein, Jr., Atlanta, GA.
Louis Jr. was the eldest son of Louis & Venia Regenstein, Sr., founders of Regenstein's Department Store. Louis Jr. served as senior partner at the law firm now known as Kilpatrick, Townsend & Stockton. Helen served on many philanthropic committees and boards throughout her life including The Alliance Theatre, The High Museum, and The Temple, and also served as Parliamentarian of the Atlanta Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Condition
Under blacklight examination, a 0.5-inch chip and a 0.25-inch loss are noted in the lower left corner above the signature. The painting exhibits intentional paint craquelure and shrinkage, primarily concentrated in areas of impasto. Scattered accretions are visible on the verso. No apparent holes, tears, or signs of restoration were observed.
