Arne Jacobsen (Danish, 1902-1971) for Fritz Hansen (Danish, founded 1872), 1973. Set of four "Lily" or "Seagull" armchairs, model 3208, each having a curving painted wooden back, arms, and seat, and rising on tubular chromed steel legs, all appropriately marked.

Approximate dimensions: h. 31", w. 25", d. 18"; seat h. 17.5".

Later overpaint with wear, some down to the bare wood, exposing the original orange color; one arm with partial puncture from a wood screw; one chair with two loose arms; not all foot caps are present; chairs are structurally sound.
