Chinese, likely Ming Dynasty. Pair of polychrome-painted standing Arhats on integral lotus pedestals, Ananda depicted as a youthful figure with a serene expression, dressed in layered flowing robes, hands joined in a gesture of devotion; Kasyapa, the elder figure with a prominent forehead and gentle smile, shown with hands clasped at the chest, surfaces painted in tones of ochre, white, and green, apparently unmarked.
