Pair of English 19th century giltwood brackets with a single phoenix bird over trailing icicles and c scrolls, topped with a five lobed ogee edged plank.

One is loose on the screw allowing some spinning leaving some curved marks on the plank and the bird has been reattached and slightly loose, the other has a repair on the birds leg area and at the top scroll, with hints of red coming through the gilding and some gilt and gesso loss in places, both with a repair to the icicle, and each has a shipping company label hidden out of sight on the plank behind each bird.
