Chinese blue and white garlic head bottle vase, having a floral vine band above a band of cranes and auspicious cloud forms, the teardrop body decorated with cartouches holding writhing dragons and flaming pearls of wisdom on a leiwen ground, the neck having a blue underglaze six character Xuande style mark.

Approximate dimensions: h. 14.5", dia. 6.75".

Examined under blacklight. Scattered glaze and manufacturing imperfections. No losses, or inpainting noted. Foot rim with (1) 1/4" chip and scattered fleabites, all under the glaze, minor scuffs to rim and body.
